I'm new to s8. I've a Bauer S715XL without instruction manual.
Can anybody help me with how to use the intervalometer functions, and put the camera into manual exposure?
Thanks!

Freakin' awesome camera... except that it's noisy!
Anyway, I never used the intervalometer when I had mine, but the manual exposure is under that little plastic flap on the top of the camera.

The camera has three modes :
Title
- Used for shooting titles
Set the Program Dial to TITLE
Set the Sub Program Dial to 1, 2, 3 or 4 to shoot 1, 2, 3 or 4 frames with one press of the trigger.
Timer
- (What you're intersted in)
Set the Program Dial to TIMER
Set the Sub Program Dial to...
1 = 1 frame per minute
2 = 10 frames per minute
3 = 60 frames per minute
4 = 240 frames per minute
Shot Duration
- Used for setting the length of a scene.
With Sub Progam set to..
1 = 6 seconds
2 = 8 seconds
3 = 10 seconds
4 = infinite seconds
The Program dial should be set to the frame rate required.
AUTO 18 and AUTO 24 will pause for about 10 seconds before shooting so you can get infront of the camera if you wish.
Oh, and Push the Program Dial in to get 40fps.
Hope this helps
Matt.
